Paul Mariner, Eric Gates and Brian Talbot all attended a Night to remember Kevin Beattie at the Royal Hotel in Clacton on February 26th 2019. On a fun packed evening the former Town stars entertained the audience reminiscing about their time at Portman Road and with Kevin.

It was a chance for all fans to come together to pay their respects to one of the clubs greats.

The event was organised with the blessing of the family and with the help of the PFA and compered by Sky commentator Stuart Jarrold.

The Evening featured an auction of signed football items and from stars in both TV and Music.

It was a wonderful night of football fun, an emotional evening of nostalgia with great stories about the great man and gave the fans a chance to say goodbye properly.

One of the stories involved Kevin riding around the team Hotel on a Police motorbike on the morning of the FA Cup Final… what a legend, would this happen now?

Kevin always wanted his name to help others in years to come, that is the aim of the KBF charity
