KEVIN BEATTIE ANNIVERSARY SONG
The Story of the Beat (‘The Beat Goes On’) is a remarkable new song and video dedicated to the Greatest ever Ipswich Town player, Kevin Beattie.
The Song release has been timed to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of when Kevin made his debut against Manchester United at Old Trafford on 12 August 1972 and has been written and produced by Ipswich based singer / songwriter George Baker.
We at the Foundation were so impressed by George’s popular Ipswich Town song ‘Proud to wear the Blue’ that we asked George to do a special tribute song to be written about ‘ The Beat’.
George kindly agreed to record the song and produce the video and as you will see, it is truly awesome and for us at the Foundation, just magical!
It tells Kevin’s life perfectly and just works.
The way it has been written ‘From the heart’ by a genuine Ipswich Town fan from the Sir Bobby Robson era is heartfelt.
The official song launch will take place at a special ‘The Beat Goes on’ event on August 13 at Novotel organised by the KBF.
